Neil Tarallo, senior lecturer at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, was selected as one of the most outstanding Boots to Business instructors for 2016 by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Neil was recognized, along with other outstanding instructors, during the Camp Pendleton Hire Our Heroes Summit (September 27–September 30) in San Diego, CA. Boots to Business gives military service members and their spouses the opportunity to explore business ownership, helps them evaluate the feasibility of their business concepts, and connects the aspiring business owners to SBA’s network of resource partners.

Tarallo is an active entrepreneur, academic, and consultant with a proven track record of bringing real-world experiences to students, veterans, and corporate and non-profit clients in the classroom, internationally, online, and through seminars. He previously served the school as the academic director of the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship. He also serves as the director of the Cornell University Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), which offers entrepreneurship education to post-9/11 disabled veterans.

Tarallo has significant experience developing academic entrepreneurship courses and programs, including centers and institutes, dating back to 1994. When not teaching, Tarallo works with corporations and non-profits to help them identify new markets through value proposition design, customer segment identification, and business model evolution.
