Welcome, Class of 2016

When classes began on August 22, SHA staff and faculty welcomed 245 new students: 177 freshmen and 68 transfer students. Collectively, the members of this incoming class share academic strength and a strong interest in hospitality.

Some quick facts about the class of 2016:

• 27 percent are international, with students representing Austria, Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, and Turkey.
• 29 percent of domestic students identify as being non-majority
• 50 percent are female; 50 percent are male
• 89 percent have hospitality work experience
