In 2020, thanks to the generous support of Dr. Michael Dang MMH ’07, the Center for Hospitality Research has named the Directorship through 2025. Professor Linda Canina currently serves as the inaugural Dr. Michael Dang Director of the Center for Hospitality Research.
About Dr. Michael Dang
At 27 years old, Michael was named CEO and President of Sacomreal, a leading real estate developer and agency in Vietnam. He went on to lead FutaCorp and served as Group CIO of Tuan Chau Group. Currently, Michael is the chairman of Anpha Holdings and founder of M.I.K. Corporation—two leading luxury product-trading, real estate development, and consulting firms in Vietnam. The companies and their affiliates have successfully developed thousands of luxury condominium, villas and landed homes in Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore. Michael is also very active in the banking and micro-financing industries through his advisory and joint-venture roles with the boards of Vietnam’s top banks.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Nanyang Technological University, a Masters of Management in Hospitality from the Cornell Nanyang program, and is currently completing his Ph.D. of General Management from Singapore Management University as part of his lifelong learning journey.
