Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration 2014

Entrepreneurship at Cornell organizes an annual two-day conference on Cornell’s Ithaca campus that brings together more than 1,000 students, alumni, staff and community participants. Throughout the Celebration event, there are symposiums on the topics of entrepreneurship healthcare, agriculture, engineering, hospital, venture capital and much more as well as a technology showcase, business idea competitions and a gala dinner to honor Cornell’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

This year, the Pillsbury Institute hosted and moderated two panels during the conference; Your Entrepreneurial Journey: From Cornell to Career, moderated by Visiting Assistant Professor Mona Anita Olsen and co-sponsored by the Career Management in the Office of Student Services at The School of Hotel Administration and Entrepreneurial Women in the Hospitality Industry, moderated by Professor Susan Fleming. Additionally, Professor Olsen and Professor Neil Tarallo judged the conference’s Big Idea Competition. The Institute was very pleased to see a large number of SHA alumni return to campus and partake in the panels and conference. We would like to say a special thank you to those alumni who participated on this year’s panels: This year, the Pillsbury Institute hosted two panels during the conference and was very pleased to see a large number of the SHA alumni return to campus to partake in the panels and conference.
