International Students (Non-U.S. Citizens & Permanent Residents)

The information below is provided for you to review the documents needed for travel to the United States to participate in the residential sessions.

Required Items for the I-20 Form

  • I-20 is required for applying for an F-1 Student Visa to study in the United States.
  • Canadian citizens: F-1 visa is not required, but need an I-20 to enter the United States to study.
  • U.S. Citizens and permanent U.S. Residents: An F-1 visa and I-20 are not required, but please notify us by email at admissions_pkummh@sha.cornell.edu

Please note: The U.S. Federal government has tightened regulations on the issuance of I-20s and F-1 visas. The Office of Global Learning at Cornell requires we must adhere to English Language Requirement standardized testing scores for the issuance of I-20s.

The amount of money for living expenses can be referred to on the Apply for Student Status and the Tuition and Living Expenses pages.
