Quan Appointed Fellowship at the University of Sydney

The center is pleased to announce that Professor Daniel C. Quan has been appointed as the Powell Family Foundation Fellow at the University of Sydney Business School. The Powell Family Foundation Fellowship was established in 2016, through a gift from the Powell Family Foundation, to facilitate engagement with high-profile scholars in Real Estate Finance and Investment (REFI). The objectives of the fellowship are to encourage international linkages between the University of Sydney and Real Estate Finance and Investment (REFI) top programs across the world, as well as to enable their students’ access to leading scholars in the field. The fellowship provides avenues for greater engagement between University of Sydney, the international network of REFI scholars, and the commercial property industry in Australia.

Last year, Professor Andrew Baum from the University of Oxford was the inaugural Powell Family Foundation Fellow. We are delighted to announce that Professor Daniel C. Quan from Cornell University will be the 2017 Powell Family Foundation Fellow.

This appointment furthers the growing relationship between the University of Sydney and the Center for Real Estate and Finance at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Sydney currently hosts a real estate case competition in September which invites undergraduate students from leading universities in Australia and New Zealand to participate. The grand prize is guaranteed entry into CREF’s Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition in New York City in November.
