Your new home for hospitality entrepreneurship! The Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship has moved into new space – Statler 189 (in the tower behind the auditorium). This new space will serve as a hospitality entrepreneurship hub allowing entrepreneurial minded students to come together to , ideate on new business ventures and with each other along with numerous hospitality entrepreneurs who will be visiting Cornell throughout the year!
We invite all students, faculty and staff to join us for our Open House event!
You’ll learn more about:
- Entrepreneurs in Residence Program – Meet one-on-one with successful entrepreneurs and receive advice on business development, networking, and career planning.
- Hospitality Pitch Deck Competition – An experiential learning opportunity for student entrepreneurs who are contemplating, starting, or operating an early stage hospitality-based venture, and who are looking to improve their pitching skills, with the potential to earn seed funding for their venture.
- Hospitality Hackathon – An exciting way to bring together teams of motivated people of various backgrounds in a determined push to answer a specific question through self-expression and creative use of technology. Students analyze a series of challenges and must present solutions to these challenges with the help of supporting data. Students present these ideas to judges in a business or “shark tank” pitch to determine a winning team.
- Hospitality Business Plan Competition – This student competition begins at the start of the academic year and ends in early spring when the student teams submit their final business plans and semi-finalist teams make their presentations to a judging panel that selects the top three concepts as winners.
Registration is not required, and light refreshments will be served.
