CIHLER: COVID-19 and Other Workplace Safety Issues Lessons From the Hospitality and Utility Sectors

February 23, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST

Event Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a number of workplace safety challenges, from concerns about adequate personal protection to the administration of vaccines.

This webinar will identify how labor and management are working together to address some of these issues. By taking a collaborative, problem-solving approach, labor and management can find common ground on vital health concerns. It’s only by avoiding getting mired in conflict over short-term demands that both sides can satisfy their long-term interests.

Panelists include experienced educators as well as management and union lead negotiators from the hospitality and utility sectors, who will share their experience navigating these issues. Although the focus will be on addressing workplace issues in unionized settings, the need for effective communication and joint-interest approaches extends to unorganized workplaces as well.
