CHR: 25th Annual Lodging Conference
September 23, 2019
JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Phoenix, AZ
As one of the top hotel industry events in the world, this conference’s attendees and speakers represent over 60,000 hotels, management firms, and top brands. Influential people of the hotel industry, including owners, operators, presidents, and CEOs will join everyone in attendance to focus on the dynamics of hotel operations in the digital age. The hotel workplace is transforming. Bots and other automated solutions are replacing a “completely human” workforce, and yet the backbone of hotel operations remains a labor force which is at best, over-tasked, and at worst, difficult to recruit and retain.
Cathy Enz, (Lewis G. Schaeneman, Jr. Professor of Innovation & Dynamic Management), as a representative of The Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) is co-moderating the Hotel Operations Thought Leadership Roundtable sponsored by Beekeeper on September 23rd. Other participants include hotel brands, ownership, and management companies. This invitation-only roundtable event works to advance the industry conversation in areas related to hotel operations, innovation, and property profitability, bringing leaders into conversation with one another on these topics, in an informal, peer-to-peer setting – outside the glare of “center stage” at the conference.

The Roundtable is produced by Travel Conversations LLC for hotel operations platform Beekeeper, and will be discussing industry innovation and how trends are likely to unfold in the year ahead – and impact property performance. The tentative scheduled time is Monday, September 23 at 4:30 pm at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort. Refreshments will be served.
