Speaker: Sean Tolkin ’13, Vice President, Land Strategy & Market Performance – World Travel Holdings
Travel is in Sean’s DNA and he has been with the World Travel Holdings’ family his entire career. As the Vice President of Land Strategy and Network Performance, Sean is responsible for the growth of Dream Vacations’ land vacation sales and bookings. He is bringing increased focus to building stronger relationships with land suppliers; expanding promotion and incentive opportunities for our franchise owners and their associates; and working with the training team to create more land-focused engagement events and training opportunities. He also oversees Resort for a Day, the largest distributor of resort day passes. Prior to his current role, Sean served as Vice President of Customer Experience for the direct-to-consumer division, responsible for the overall customer experience from start to finish. His other previous roles include leading Cruises Inc., the original host agency business opportunity. Sean was instrumental in transitioning the Cruises Inc. brand to the Dream Vacations Advisor program, which matches people who want to become independent travel advisors with existing travel agency franchise owners. He spent his first two years with the company in a management rotation program circulating through every single department, including working as a travel advisor, and then gradually was promoted to Director overseeing private-label partnerships, Resort for a Day, and Corporate Development for Dream Vacations. Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and a Master’s in Management Hospitality from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
