Cécile Belaman is a Managing Director with Bain Capital, one of the world’s leading alternative investments firm with $130 billion in assets under management. Bain Capital is active in private equity, public equity, credit, venture capital, and real estate in North America, Europe and Asia. Ms. Belaman is part of the EMEA Investor Relations team based in London, responsible for raising capital across the firm’s business units.

Before joining Bain Capital in 2008, Ms. Belaman was with Morgan Stanley in London for nine years, most recently as Head of Global Fundraising for the Private Equity Fund of Funds business. Prior to 2003, Ms. Belaman was in the financial sponsors group at Morgan Stanley, overseeing investment banking relationships with private equity firms. She also worked for the real estate investment banking and financial sponsors group at JP Morgan in London and for HVS International in London and in Mineola, NY.

Ms. Belaman graduated from Lausanne Hotel Management School, received a B.S. from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration and earned a MA in Property Valuation and Law from City University London.

Ms. Belaman is one of the founding members and board members of Level 20, a non-profit organization founded in 2015 with the aim to improve gender diversity in the private equity industry. Today, Level 20 has more than 2,500 members and over 80 private equity firm, sponsors. She also serves as the Board Chair of Orchid Project, a non-profit organization catalyzing the global movement to end female genital cutting.

Ms. Belaman lives in London. She is married and has two daughters.
