Andrew B. Quagliata, Ph.D., is a lecturer of management communication in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, School of Hotel Administration. He teaches a first-year business communication course, an upper-level persuasive communication class, and an elective, Communication for Entrepreneurs.
Quagliata’s research interests include communication pedagogy, entrepreneur communication, and the relationship between communication and career success. He is the faculty sponsor of the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship Annual Pitch Deck Competition.
Andrew earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from University at Buffalo, his M.B.A. in Management & Leadership and bachelor’s degree in Professional and Technical Communication - both from Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Cornell, Quagliata held professional positions in finance and higher education.
