Jason Herthel is President and Chief Operating Officer of Montage International, and is responsible for all aspects of operations management, business development and real estate development for the leading luxury hotel management company. He has served as the first president and COO of the company since his appointment in 2015, ardently stewarding the exceptional culture of service for which Montage and its international properties have become renowned. Mr. Herthel initially joined Montage as executive vice president of acquisitions, development and strategy in 2011.
Prior to his tenure at Montage, Mr. Herthel worked in Abu Dhabi as senior vice president of project development for Viceroy Hotel Group and as well served as principal & general counsel for The Setai Group of luxury hotels and resorts. Mr. Herthel specialized in the transactional real estate and business needs of global hospitality clients previously as an attorney with the law firm of Paul Hastings.
Mr. Herthel holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stanford University.
