Richy Petrina is the founder of Ithaca Wine Ventures [I W V] – a boutique consultancy that serves global clients at the intersection of luxury + hospitality + food & beverage. Within the Cornell community, I W V works extensively with graduate and undergraduate students – as well as faculty and staff – to discover, network, and innovate.
About the founder:
- A graduate of The Hotel School at Cornell, Richy has remained actively involved with its international alumni and local community. He was a member of the university Council and a recent president of the volunteer-led non-profit, Cornell Hotel Society.
- His beverage alcohol industry experience includes entrepreneurial roles across all three tiers, with a particular focus on business development and thoughtful clientelling.
- At LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, he started their global direct-to-consumer private & corporate sales channel for wines & spirits – now called MH Private.
- Richy and the I W V team work with luxury brands across verticals on long-term projects, from leadership development & training to building & deploying long term strategic capabilities.
Beyond Cornell, Richy proudly serves on The James Beard Foundation’s Beverage Awards Subcommittee and supports other philanthropic initiatives.
Richy is happily based out of sunny Ithaca, New York.
