John Ryan is the Founder and CEO of Tampa-based Metro Development Group, one of the area’s leading developers of master planned communities in West Central Florida and the driving force behind infusing Metro Places neighborhoods with 21st century technology and world-class amenities like the nation’s first Crystal Lagoons amenity.
A native of Ontario, Canada and resident of Florida since 1997, John has more than 30 years of real estate development experience. Prior to Metro, John led the family-owned company The Ryan Group in Toronto, a premier developer of high-rise condos, office buildings, commercial properties, mix-use and residential communities.
John earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and since then has established key partnerships with investors and builders to create trailblazing and award-winning communities.
