Kenneth M. Blatt is chief operating officer of the Hospitality Division and principal in Caribbean Property Group LLC (CPG). He has been with CPG since 2003. CPG is a real estate investment firm based in New York; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and West Palm Beach, Florida that develops, redevelops, acquires, manages, operates and owns real estate assets in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Central America across four sectors – retail, hotel, industrial and office. CPG’s current hotel assets include The Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel, Spa and Casino and the Radisson Ambassador Hotel and Casino. CPG is the managing partner in Caribbean Real Estate Opportunity Fund I, a $500 million real estate fund co-sponsored by Goldman Sachs and Perry Capital, the focus of which is to invest in income producing real estate assets in the Caribbean and Central America.
Blatt has a long record of entrepreneurial success in emerging Europe in the media, advertising and personnel industries. From 1992-2000, Blatt, as president of KU-Inc., a media and communications consultancy firm, created the region’s largest outdoor advertising company, a number of multinational advertising agencies with the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) and WPP in Romania and Bulgaria, a publishing company in Romania and a regional recruitment and training company. His activities and successes in Eastern Europe were the subject of a chapter in The Responsible Entrepreneur – How to Make Money and Make a Difference (Hall, Craig 2001).
