Other Giving Methods
- Check
Payable to:
Cornell University
PO Box 37344
Boone, IA 50037-0334
Please specify designation in the memo area.
- Securities
Increasing numbers of alumni, parents, and friends are making gifts to the Nolan School using appreciated securities, including publicly traded and privately held stock and mutual funds. The attraction of this method of giving is that the donor is entitled to take a charitable deduction for the full current value of appreciated securities held longer than one year and is able to avoid paying the capital-gains tax that would be due if the donor sold the securities.
Make a gift of securities online, or for more information contact the Development Office at 607.255.9542.
- Matching Gifts
Many employers recognize the importance of philanthropy by agreeing to match or multiply donations made by active and retired employees and, in some cases, employees’ spouses and partners as well. Your gift to the Nolan School could double or triple in value. See if your company currently participates in matching gifts, or contact your personnel or human resources office for matching-gift forms.
- Gift Planning
Many alumni and friends have designated the Nolan School in their estate plans. But did you know that Cornell University offers a full range of professional gift planning services and vehicles that can help meet individual needs, secure your family’s future, and strengthen the Nolan School —all at the same time?
