Peter Nolan founded Nolan Capital, Inc. in 2014 as the holding company for his family office to make long term investments in growth oriented companies whose hospitality-related holdings include Fresh Brothers Pizza, a Los Angeles-based chain of 22 pizza delivery stores, and ExplorUS, which manages concessions for 60 U.S. parks under licensing agreements with the U.S. National Park Service, among others. Peter is also the majority owner of Water Engineering, Coastal Farm and Ranch Supply, and Diamond Wipes.
Since 2014, Peter is also a senior advisor at Leonard Green & Partners, a $75 billion private equity firm in southern California. He was a managing partner at the firm for 17 years, during which time the company invested in Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, which included Shake Shack, and bought a controlling interest in the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Peter serves on the boards of Activision, Inc. and AerSale Corporation. Peter is a Trustee Emeritus and was vice chairman of the Executive Committee for Cornell University, and he is former Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee for the University’s endowment. Peter serves as a trustee of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and Finance from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
