The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration has created six centers and institutes designed to provide a hub for students, faculty, and industry leaders to connect, promote industry growth and enrich the educational curriculum by providing opportunities for students to put their learning into practice and to work directly with our corporate members.

The Center for Hospitality Research

The mission of the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) is to advance hospitality thought leadership by publishing and disseminating impactful and actionable research, including reports, briefs, tools, and case studies that industry leaders can put into practice today; facilitating the exchange of new ideas by bringing students, faculty, and industry professionals together at roundtables, panels, conferences, and other engaging events; and partnering with the other Centers and Institutes in the Cornell Nolan School to maximize research, event, and networking collaborations.

The Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations

The Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations (CIHLER) bridges both the Nolan School and the ILR school. CIHLER combines academic and industry resources for research, education, and dialogue dedicated to the modernization of hospitality industry labor and management relations and human resources management. To support both management and labor, the center sponsors research, classroom enrichment, and industry roundtables. The center also offers a forum for the most recent analysis of labor and employment law by experts and practitioners throughout the industry.

The Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures

The Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF) has a mission to provide a multi-disciplinary platform for integrating hospitality, policy, and design thinking to enhance service excellence in healthcare, wellness, senior living, and related industries.
