CIHLER: Erica Mason to Speak on Corporate Counsel’s Role in Assisting Lawyers of Color at Law Firms

Erica Mason will speak on a panel titled, “Who Gets Origination Credit? Corporate Counsel’s Role in Assisting Lawyers of Color at Law Firms,” hosted by The Hispanic National Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Division, and the The Association of Corporate Counsel Foundation (ACC).

The panel will explore the important and rarely discussed component needed for the advancement of lawyers of color at law firms — Origination Credit. Law firm partners will shed light on the meaning of origination credit, as well as offer insight into credit allocation processes, current challenges affecting lawyers of color, and how corporate counsel can navigate and challenge compensation systems that are not aligned with the values of diversity, equity and inclusion.
