CIHLER: 8th Annual Labor Relations Roundtable

This year will be the 8th offering of the Labor Relations Roundtable, presented by Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations (CIHLER) in Boca Raton, FL. This roundtable presents a forum for industry and academe to address current issues facing the industry. Hosted by roundtable chair and director, David Sherwyn.

Discussion Topics:

Topic 1: The future of card-check: what does the NLRB’s Seattle decision mean for the future?

Topic 2: The changing landscape of labor and employment law – slowing down elections and other NLRB changes, the California independent contractor law, how does it affect industry union relations?

Topic 3: If employer associations are dead, will the union now set the stage and agenda for future negotiations?

Topic 4: Bringing hotel arbitration into the 21st century with a new dispute resolution protocol.
