Jerry Lewin has worked in hospitality industry for forty-three years and spending the last thirty years with Hyatt hotels. Before joining Hyatt, Lewin served for ten years in various management capacities for Hilton hotels in San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. Lewin joined Hyatt hotels in 1987 as the General Manager at Hyatt Regency Dallas moving on to several different properties including Orange County, Newport Beach and becoming the Vice President of the Hyatt Regency Chicago which was the largest hotel in the Hyatt chain. In the year of 2000 he moved to New York to become Senior Vice President of Operations overseeing thirty eight hotels in the United States responsible for over two billion dollars in revenue which includes overseeing Sales, Revenue, Human Resources, Operations and Development.
Today he is the Senior Vice President of Profitability for Hyatt Corporation leading global change through key operational programs like Archer and Olympia. In addition, Lewin has spent time assisting hotels throughout Europe and Asia. He is a strong leader as well as a mentor who has opened the minds of many colleagues to think outside the box and to visualize inspirations to make their hotels a success. One of Lewin’s favorite quotes is, “Your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are then a leader.”
Lewin received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and completed the Executive Development Program at J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He enjoys spending time with his wife Jia and their daughter Jade as well as playing golf. He and his family reside in New York and Bonita Springs, Florida. He also serves as president of the New York Law Enforcement Foundation and on several corporate boards.
