Louis Hellebusch is senior vice president and co-general counsel for GEM Realty Capital, which he joined in 2010 as associate general counsel. Louis works on structuring, documenting, and closing transactions for GEM Realty Properties, and legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for GEM Realty Securities. Prior to joining GEM, Louis was a lawyer in the Real Estate Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and prior to that was a legal assistant in the Real Estate Practice Group at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts in classics from Columbia University in 2001.
