Fred Singer is President and CEO of Singer Equipment Company, one of the largest distributors of foodservice equipment and supplies in the United States. As the largest supplier of commercial kitchens in the greater New York/Philadelphia/DC marketplace, Singer has strong relationships with leading restauranteurs and chefs, as well as hoteliers and developers.
Fred is a third-generation family business owner/operator, and in his 25 years with Singer, he has overseen the company’s growth from $22MM in annual revenue to over $360MM in 2018. Fred is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, leading acquisition efforts, and managing major customer and vendor relationships. During his leadership Singer was also awarded “Dealer of the Year” by Foodservice Equipment and Supplies magazine for its growth and reputation for quality work.
Fred has been a leader in many industry organizations, serving as a founder and the first Chairman of NexGen, the industry’s largest foodservice equipment buying group, an Executive Committee member of Supply America, a cooperative selling organization, and as a former Board and Executive Committee member of the Foodservice Equipment Dealers Association (FEDA). Fred has also served on the Executive Committee of the YPO Food and Beverage Network.
Prior to working at Singer, Fred earned a BA from Yale University and worked for the management consulting firm The Boston Consulting Group in its Boston and Monterrey Mexico offices.
