Chad Crandell is a Co-Founder and CEO of CHMWarnick, and holds the distinction of being a Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM). Chad has 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, the majority of which has been dedicated to asset management, developing strategies for enhancing hotel value and protecting the rights of hotel owners and investors. He is responsible for overseeing CHMWarnick’s corporate functions and directing the efforts of the asset management team, responsible for overseeing client investments of over $15 billion in hospitality real estate. With extensive experience in structuring fair and equitable agreements pertaining to hotel ownership, Chad plays an active role in all contract negotiations and advises on key operational challenges, including risk mitigation, capital planning and expenditures and investor-funded capital projects.
Chad is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Hotel Administration and is an active member of several industry organizations. He is a past President and current member of the HAMA (Hospitality Asset Managers Association), was part of the CHAM (Certified Hotel Asset Managers) designation development team, served on the AH&LA finance committee that instituted changes in the Eleventh Edition of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry and is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC). He is a routine speaker at major industry events and a published author on hotel ownership issues.
