Ben Davison is a Managing Director at BDT & MSD Partners and co-heads the Real Estate Private Capital Hospitality team.  BDT & MSD Real Estate maintains a fundamental, value-oriented approach, seeking high quality assets with significant barriers to entry and strong long-term growth characteristics.  BDT & MSD’s hospitality investments include Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica, Four Seasons Vail, and The Boca Raton, as well as the development of Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, in Florida and The Knox, an Auberge Resorts Collection, in Dallas.

Prior to joining BDT & MSD in early 2021, Davison oversaw hotel acquisitions, development, and asset management for RFR Holding, whose hospitality assets include the W South Beach in Miami, 11 Howard in NYC, and The Jaffa Hotel in Tel Aviv, among others.  Before that, he worked at Hotel Capital Advisors (Kingdom Holding), asset managing and providing transactional services for their hotel real estate (Four Seasons George V Paris, Savoy London, Plaza in NYC) and brand investments (Four Seasons, Fairmont, and Movenpick) in North America and Europe.  He began his career at Ernst & Young.

Davison earned a B.S. from the Nolan School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, with a concentration in Real Estate.  He served as Co-Chair of the Dean’s Council of Young Alumni and is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Hotel Development Council.  He resides in New York City with his wife, Dr. Janette Davison ’05, and their two children.
