Alex Koch ’04 has over 20 years of experience in hospitality, gaming, & real estate. Alex’s career in hospitality began at the Harvard Club of NYC, and upon graduating from The Hotel School in 2004, he began his gaming career with Golden Nugget Gaming. After working with and for several Hotelies in Las Vegas, including at the Venetian Casino Resort on the Las Vegas Strip, Alex has spent the last 17 years at Eureka Casinos & The Familee Company, where he has helped drive profitability and a strong culture through various leadership roles. He currently serves the company as the Vice President of Asset Management & Development, leading a portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality, and gaming assets, leading the company’s family office operations & private equity placement, strategic direction, and acquisitions/dispositions.
A native of Deer Park, NY, Alex lives in Las Vegas, NV with his wonderful wife Ellen, their two terrific daughters, Gabriella (age 9) and Charley (age 7), and their dog, Nessie.
Alex owes much of his career to the strength of the Cornell Hotel Society, the Hotel School faculty, and Cornell University in general. Alex has the pleasure of serving the Cornell community as the 2026 Global President of the Cornell Hotel Society, co-President of the Class of 2004, and a member of the Cornell University Council.
