Based in the Washington DC area, Susan Furbay has over 26 years of experience in hospitality investment through her work as a broker, a lender, and, most recently, as Senior Vice President of Business Development at HVS Consulting & Valuations. Previously, Susan served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development at Sage Hospitality and spent five years as Director of North America Lending in GE Real Estate’s Hospitality division. Susan began her hospitality real estate career as a broker at Eastdil Secured 26 years ago where she began building relationships with private equity groups, third-party operators, and individual owner/operators throughout the country.

Susan brings her enthusiasm and commitment to her clients as she advises and assists them in creating the most profitable hotel real estate. Susan’s wide array of experience in hospitality real estate provides her with a keen understanding of diverse organizational structures, and her familiarity with various positions and their required duties will be instrumental in mentoring the future leaders of the hospitality industry. Outside of work, Susan enjoys spending time with her family and stays active by hiking, biking and running. Susan graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
