Rohan Thakkar '08

Rohan is responsible for overseeing the development efforts for all YOTEL brands globally along with the global architecture, design & construction team.  He is also responsible for driving & rolling out the global franchise strategy as the brand works to expand from 20 hotels to 50 hotels over the next 3 years.   Rohan is based at the company HQ in London, UK.

He joined YOTEL from Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he spent four years on the Real Estate Investment Management team responsible for the corporate owned assets. Over his time with Starwood, Rohan worked towards transacting over USD700M in asset sales to support the overall ‘asset light’ brand strategy. In addition to asset sales, Rohan worked on the asset management and renovation planning of existing properties across all brands in the North America portfolio. Previous to Starwood, Rohan was with E&Y on the Transaction & Hospitality Advisory team

Rohan graduated from the Hotel School in 2008 and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board.
