General Managers Program (GMP)
Get a glimpse of GMP from the eyes of your participant peers and renowned Cornell faculty.
The General Managers Program is a ten-day learning experience for hotel general managers and their immediate successors. In the past 33 years, GMP has hosted more than 1,800 participants representing 115 countries.
"GMP allowed me to step out of a demanding operational mode into a reflective strategic thinker. I will return to my property armed with a new tool kit. The unexpected delight was the multi-cultural class and all the additional learning I gained as a result."
- Christine Loose, Resident Manager, The American Club & Inn on Woodlake, USA
Participants gain an invaluable connection to an international network of elite hoteliers from within the program, and affiliate membership in Cornell's extensive alumni network of more than 12,000 School of Hotel Administration graduates. The on-campus experience is the beginning of a lifelong connection to Cornell and its expanding base of knowledge and relationships.
"It has been an incredible experience. I have been really impressed not only with the knowledge offered by professors, but also by the different and enriching experiences of other participants. The GMP is not just another program; it is…The Program."
- Pablo Rey Rodriguez, General Manager, Envia Hotel Wellness & Golf 5*, Spain
