Since its founding in 2006, the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship has supported the entrepreneurship curriculum at the School of Hotel Administration by connecting the academic and the practical through a variety of entrepreneurship programs. We help students translate classroom learning into real world experience with the support of entrepreneurial alumni, industry leaders, and expert faculty.
The institute offers students, entrepreneurs, and members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem many opportunities to become engaged, including the annual Cornell Hospitality Business Plan Competition; our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence program; industry roundtables on topics such as technology, sustainability, and the food chain; Meet and Repeat "speed-networking" events; networking socials; and, most recently, the newly launched PitchDeck Competition.
If you are a student interested in entrepreneurship—whether that be through starting your own business, working for a startup, or simply bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to your future endeavors—Pillsbury has programming and resources to support you. If you are an alum, entrepreneur, or entrepreneurially minded leader in hospitality, Pillsbury has opportunities for you to connect with and mentor a new generation of hospitality entrepreneurs and leaders.
On behalf of Cornell University, the School of Hotel Administration, and the Pillsbury Institute, I invite and encourage you to explore ways in which you can participate in and support our many programs. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding the Pillsbury Institute, please feel free to contact me directly at email@example.com.
