During the spring semester, Assistant Academic Director Mona Anita K. Olsen oversaw two case studies. The first, “Hotel Ezra Cornell: Incorporating Technology into Tradition,” by Mona Anita K. Olsen, Elizabeth Houston, and Reneta McCarthy, studies data as well as relationships of past HEC conferences. This study is currently under review at SHA Hospitality Teaching Cases. The second, “Courting Innovation: The Engagement Proposal at The Leading Hotels of the World,” by Mona Anita K. Olsen and Saniya Gandhi and is under review at Ivey.

Additionally, starting in July, the Pillsbury Institute will host visiting scholar, Dr. Delia Racines of the University of Southern California. She will be conducting research with Assistant Academic Director, Mona Anita K. Olsen on the intersection of English learners and the respective implications for university-level instruction of entrepreneurship. We look forward to working with Dr. Racines in the upcoming academic year.
