Student Engagement

The Center for Real Estate and Finance offers a variety of opportunities for students to engage with alumni and industry executives—the first step in building a career—through events, clubs, courses and internships.

The center also offers multiple case competitions, presentations, and informal open sessions with high-level industry executives, as well as receptions for students to network with real estate alumni. With access to real-time industry databases during course study, students are always up on the current real estate trends.

Internships

Current students and CREF advisory board member companies interested in participating in the Student Internship Program should read the criteria and guidelines outlined in the Internships section of the Centers & Institutes homepage.

Real Estate and Finance Courses

A variety of Real Estate and Finance courses are available at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. For current offerings, please visit Cornell University Course Descriptions.

Real Estate Treks

The center has hosted both domestic and international real estate treks in partnership with the Cornell Real Estate Club and the Cornell Diversity and Inclusion in Real Estate club.  In fall 2022, the clubs went to Washington DC and New York City. Sites included Blackstone, The Buccini Pollin Group, The Carlyle Group, DiamondRock Hospitality, JP Morgan, Pebblebrook.
