Cornell Real Estate Club Treks to Philly
On March 12 and 13, sixteen members of the Real Estate Club traveled to Philadelphia for the annual trek. Upon their arrival on Thursday, the group was hosted by Marty Grims ’83 at his restaurant, The White Dog Café. Grims shared his story with the students and offered a great start to the trip.
The next day was a balance between corporate focused visits and entrepreneurial developers. The first stop was with Allen Domb, a residential and restaurant developer and City Council candidate, followed by a visit to Equus Capital Partners. The group had lunch with over 30 members of Alumni Working in Real Estate at the Cornell Real Estate Council's monthly meeting where they had the pleasure of listening to the meeting’s speaker Richard Jones, Director of Leasing, Keystone Property Group. In the afternoon, the group visited Lubert Adler with a personal meeting with Dean Adler, CEO and Co-Founder. This was followed by a stop at Liberty Property Trust, where they got an inside look at their new $1.3B project, the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center. Thank you to members of the Cornell Real Estate Council (Philadelphia Chapter) Shamit Saha, Jess Abel, and Andrew Benioff for their instrumental work in helping to plan this trek.
