Peng (Peter) Liu Awarded Competitive Fellowship and Research Grant on Securitization by Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Peng Liu, associate professor of real estate, has been awarded a research fellowship by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). He will visit the Hong Kong Institute of Monetary Research (HKIMR) during his sabbatical leave from Cornell.

Established on April 1, 1993, HKMA is the government authority in Hong Kong responsible for maintaining monetary and banking stability, acting as the central bank of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. Selecting from proposals globally, the competitive fellowship aims to promote research that is of strategic importance to the Asian economy.

In addition to being given the role of visiting research fellow at HKIMR, Professor Liu has also received a research grant to write an annual special report on securitization development in China in 2015.
