Dave Pollin is co-founder and president of the Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG) and chairman of Pollin/Miller Hospitality Strategies (PMHS). Since co-founding BPG, Pollin has led the firm’s development, acquisition, and renovation of more than 30 hotels valued at over $1.5 billion.
The Buccini/Pollin Group has acquired and developed over $4 billion of properties in every real estate asset class throughout the U.S. since its founding in 1993. The firm is also the developer, owner, and operator of 28 hotels, over six million square feet of office space, 10 residential communities, numerous retail properties, and multiple sports/entertainment venues. The Buccini/Pollin Group is the developer, owner, and operator of hotels carrying the following flags: Westin, Hilton, Sheraton, Canopy, the Madison, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Aloft by W Hotels, and Homewood Suites by Hilton. In 2004, BPG was named Hilton’s Multi-Brand developer of the year.
Pollin/Miller Hospitality Strategies currently manages 25 hotels for BPG and third party clients across the U.S. with total annual revenue in excess of $150 million. BPGS Construction, BPG’s construction affiliate, has more than 40 associates focused on general contracting, tenant improvements, and owner representation services. For office and residential development and management, BPG Real Estate Services handles these projects for BPG.
Pollin is currently serving on or has recently served on the following organizations: the Federal City Council of Washington, D.C.; Starwood Hotels & Resorts North American Owner’s Advisory Council; Owner Advisory Council of Hilton’s Embassy Suites brand; Cornell University Council; founding board member of Monument Bank of Maryland; nominating co-chair of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.; co-founder and president of the board of Starlight Children’s Foundation mid-Atlantic; and regional chair of the northeast U.S. region of the Young Presidents Organization.
Prior to co-founding BPG and PMHS, Pollin was a consultant with Laventhol & Horwath and worked in operations with Westin and Sheraton. Pollin graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
