CIHLER Welcomes Two New Faculty Members

Sean Rogers and Christopher Boone have joined the faculty of the School of Hotel Administration, in the area of employment relations, human resources, and law. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s College of Business, Rogers holds a PhD from Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‐SCP), by the Society for Human Resource Management. He comes to Cornell from New Mexico State University and has also been a visiting professor at Universidad de La Salle, Bogotá, Colombia. His areas of research include Unions and labor‐management relations (especially in aviation and higher education), workplace diversity, and employment discrimination, and volunteerism. Boone is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an PhD in economics from Columbia University, where he taught during his doctoral studies. His research fields include labor economics, development economics, and economic history. Rogers will be teaching Introduction to Management in Spring 2016, while Boone will teach Microeconomics for the Service Industry.
