Cornell Conference Will Highlight Top-Level Hospitality Research and Analytics Practices: Nominations and Applications Invited
Hospitality Research and Analytics Award will honor the industry's best ideas
Ithaca, NY, June 25, 2012 - The submission deadline is just a few weeks away for the top-level award given at the 2012 Cornell Hospitality Research Summit (CHRS). Created to improve the industry's operations and profits, the Hospitality Research and Analytics Award features the practical application of research and analysis to advance the hospitality industry. Hospitality firms and researchers have until July 20 to send in an overview of their research-based or analytics-based ideas for this award program.
Early registration is now open for the CHRS, which will be held at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, on October 8-9, 2012. By registering early, conference participants save money off the regular conference cost.
With the Hospitality Research and Analytics award, the Cornell conference will unite with the hospitality industry to recognize and reward the best examples of analysis and research that have resulted in boosting a hospitality firm's performance. "I strongly urge both industry practitioners and academic consultants to nominate their best practices for this award program," said Professor Rohit Verma, CHRS chair. "This is a chance to share a global platform for success, and to demonstrate the continuing value of research and analytics for the hospitality industry."
Award winners will be recognized during the CHRS awards dinner ceremony on October 9, 2012. Winners will be acknowledged in conference press releases from the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR).
As part of the prize, the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) at the School of Hotel Administration will offer award winners the opportunity to feature their program in an industry perspectives article, as part of the Cornell CHR's widely distributed managerial publication series.
The Hospitality Research and Analytics award program is presented by IdeaS, a SAS company, and a partner of the CHR. As explained on the CHRS website, there is no fee to enter this contest. All that is required is a brief explanation of the successful practice and its outcomes.
