The first meeting of the Real Estate Minor Alumni of Cornell (REMAC) was held in October in New York City. Organized by recent alumni, this event brought together over 35 of the brightest young stars in real estate in NYC for networking and planning at the Papillion Bistro and Bar. The second meeting, sponsored by Tishman, was held on November 15th at the InterContinental Times Square. Held in conjunction with the Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition, this event attracted over 75 real estate professionals from the greater New York area. REMAC was founded by Daniel Mann ’11, Zachary Rosen ’11, and Bradley Walker ’10, with the goal of aiding in the professional development of Cornell’s young real estate minor alumni by providing opportunities to interact with likeminded graduates, share professional experiences, benchmark industry specific best practices, and connect Cornell’s ever growing real estate network. The organization will look to host informal networking events as well as more formal panel discussions and round tables from select real estate industry leaders. The founders of REMAC have been in discussions with the CREF faculty and both groups are eager to forge a long-term relationship for the benefit of all real estate alumni.
