SHA Participates in Global Hospitality and Tourism Conferences


SHA’s associate deans, faculty, and staff will share research and expertise and connect with alumni and other industry leaders at the following upcoming hospitality and tourism conferences—SAHIC, the Lodging Conference, CHICOS, and NATHIC.

SAHIC
Steve Carvell, associate dean for academic affairs, and Meg Keilbach, director of alumni affairs and development, will be special guests at the Cornell Hotel Society South America Alumni Dinner at SAHIC 2012. The event will be held at TANTA Restaurant in Lima, Peru, September 11, 8:00 p.m.

The Lodging Conference
Three representatives from the School of Hotel Administration will participate in the 2012 Lodging Conference, scheduled for October 2-5 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Jon Denison, associate dean for external affairs, Mark Depew, assistant director of alumni affairs and development, and Cathy Enz, the Lewis G. Schaeneman, Jr. Professor of Innovation & Dynamic Management, will be attending the conference, which is celebrating its 18th year as a high-level event bringing together the top minds in hotel finance, development, and operations. CHICOS
CHICOS is pleased to welcome back Steve Carvell, associate dean of academic affairs, as a presenter at its second annual conference. The 2012 HVS Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference and Operations Summit will be held November 8 and 9 at the Atlantis Resort, Bahamas.
