Chuck Floyd is the global president of operations for Hyatt. Selected for this position in August 2014, Floyd is responsible for leading and developing Hyatt’s shared operation services organization known as the Global Operations Center (GOC). Floyd is also responsible for ensuring the operating efficiency in the rollout of new innovations; unifying the company’s global operations; and overseeing the company’s information technology resources, worldwide sales organization, and call centers. The group presidents for each of Hyatt’s three regions report directly to him.

Prior to his current role, Floyd was executive vice president and group president of the Global Operations Center. From January 2006 to September 2012, Floyd served as chief operating officer of North America. In this position, he was responsible for the management of Hyatt’s full service hotels and resorts as well as the Hyatt Place and the Hyatt House brands in the United States, Canada, and Caribbean. In addition, he oversaw the Hyatt Residential Group (formerly Hyatt Vacation Ownership) and the Franchise Owner Relations Group, which supported full service, select service, and extended stay franchisees. He also oversaw various corporate functions for North America, including sales, human resources, product and design, rooms, food and beverage, and engineering. Since joining Hyatt in 1981, Floyd has served in a number of other senior positions, including executive vice president of North America operations and senior vice president of sales, as well as various managing director and general manager roles.
