A graduate of the School of Hotel Administration, Ms. Aida Mollenkamp is a food and travel expert on a mission to taste the world. In December of 2014, she founded Salt & Wind, an online food travel site. Much of Ms. Mollenkamp’s influence comes from her home state of California and Brady Bunch-esc family. She has traveled to 35 US states and over 30 countries. Her approach to life and cooking is effortless, fresh, and adventurous. Upon graduation from Cornell, Ms. Mollenkamp attended Le Cordon Bleu Paris to grow her culinary capabilities. She then worked as a Food Editor for Chow Magazine before moving to television. On screen, Ms. Mollenkamp hosted the Food Network segment Ask Aida, Cooking Channel’s Foodcrafters, and Yahoo!’s In the Pantry. Ms. Mollenkamp is also the author of the cookbook Keys to the Kitchen, a must-have resource for home cooks who are looking for adventure. Although much of her work now focuses on social media rather than television, Ms. Mollenkamp hosts the TasteMade series, Off Menu. Salt & Wind is a food and travel lifestyle site where travelers can find inspiration for their next bite. Beginning in January of 2017, Salt & Wind also features 4-day micro trips. Their emphasis is on local, unique, real food and how that integrates itself into all other aspects of life, including culture, fashion, and wellness.
