Hospitality is a dynamic global industry, with some of the fastest growing markets nestled in exotic, far flung regions of the world. So it is no wonder our international students are especially valued for the multicultural dimension they bring to SHA. About 10 percent of our undergraduates come from outside the United States, representing more than 30 different countries.
International students studying in the United States must have twelve years of primary and secondary education and are expected to fulfill all of the requirements of a first-year or transfer applicant.
We encourage you to review the following resources to help you complete the application process:

Resources for International Students
The International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) is the primary resource on campus for international students. The ISSO provides advice about immigration issues, financial matters, campus services for academic and personal counseling, medical care, housing, and even tips on thriving during Ithaca’s legendary winter weather.
ISSO plans an international student orientation, called “PREPARE”, at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters that features social events to help you meet other international students and make a smooth transition into the Cornell community. In addition, ISSO organizes annual trips to places like New York City, Boston, Montreal, and Washington, D.C. Contact the ISSO at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
