'04 Grad Overseeing Major Renovations at Historic Taughannock Inn
The Inn at Taughannock, a luxury boutique hotel managed by Hotelie Brian Simon '04, will be closing after Thanksgiving in order to renovate. In a Cornell Daily Sun article, Simon describes the "planned revitalization."
Coming right after the inn's 70th birthday, the renovations are aimed at expanding and enhancing the property, all while keeping its historic charm. While "change is a constant," said Simon, "most times in life it's for the better." The guest rooms and restaurant will be refurbished and a new patio will be built to accommodate outdoor seating.
The Inn at Taughannock will still be hosting its annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner, complete with all the classics. After this annual feast, the inn will close its doors throughout the winter until springtime.
