With the start of the 2015-2016 academic year, the School of Hotel Administration welcomes new faculty members in finance, marketing, and more. There also have been several promotions, appointments, and other transitions among current and retired faculty.

The following were all effective July 1.

New faculty

  • Christopher D. A. Boone, assistant professor of services marketing
  • Stephanie J. Creary, assistant professor of strategy
  • Fang Liu, assistant professor of finance
  • Yifei Mao, assistant professor of finance
  • Michael T. Paz, instructor in accounting
  • Sean E. Rogers, assistant professor of employment relations, human resources and law
  • Andrew Whitmore, lecturer in information systems

Visting faculty

  • Kyle Reinson, visiting lecturer in management communication
  • Adam Walden, visiting lecturer in management communication

Promotions, new appointments, and honors

  • Linda Canina, promoted to professor
  • Michael Lynn, named editor of the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly
  • Mary MacAusland, transitioned to senior lecturer (formerly visiting assistant professor)
  • Mark McCarthy, promoted to senior lecturer
  • Stephen Mutkoski '67, PhD '76, granted emeritus status
  • Mona Anita K. Olsen '04, transitioned to assistant (previously visiting assistant) professor and associate (previously assistant) academic director of the Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship
  • Maria Wolfe, promoted to senior lecturer
