What are your plans post-Cornell?
After graduation I want to become an investment banking analyst in New York City. Although it is a very competitive industry to break into, I know that the School of Hotel Administration [Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration] has given me all of the tools and experiences that I need to succeed in anything business-related.
If you were to offer advice to incoming first-year students, what would you say?
Get out of your comfort zone as early as possible. If you hear about a club that interests you in any way, do not hesitate to go and meet the club members. If you hear about a guest speaker that you find intriguing, attend the speech.
What has been your favorite class at Cornell?
My favorite and most useful class at Cornell has been Business Computing. Learning about Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel has given me an edge over other students in so many courses I have taken since then. I brought my textbook from the course to my first internship because I knew that I would need to refer back to it when using Excel.
