Stonebridge Companies, one of the nation's leading development and hospitality management companies, has joined the corporate membership program at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (SHA). The company will be an Industry Fellow of the Center for Real Estate and Finance (CREF) and support the growth of real estate research and education at Cornell.
"We are delighted to welcome Stonebridge Companies as the newest CREF Industry Fellow," said Joe Strodel, executive director of corporate affairs, SHA. "Industry Fellows are fundamental to the success of our real estate program, helping fund the annual Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition, seminars on industry topics, student travel to real estate investment conferences, and critical faculty research."
"This new collaboration with the Cornell School of Hotel Administration will give us the opportunity to expand our commitment to excellence in real estate while we help foster the next generation of industry leaders," said Navin Dimond, president and CEO of Stonebridge Companies, who will join the CREF advisory board.
Dimond directs the development, operations, and investment strategies of Stonebridge Companies. Under his vision and leadership, the company has experienced substantial positive growth. Dimond is the recipient of the Award of Excellence from the American Asian Hotel Owners Association, the Hotelier of the Year Award from the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, and the prestigious Hilton Hotels Multi-brand Developer of the Year Award. Most recently, Dimond and Stonebridge Companies received the coveted Marriott Partnership Circle Award, granted to franchisees for their excellence and commitment to growth as well as dedication to their associates and guests. Currently, Dimond serves on the Franchise Advisory Council for Hampton Inn Hotels by Hilton and on Marriott's TRIA Board.
As part of the company's three-year corporate membership, Stonebridge Companies will also sponsor two key SHA events: the Cornell Hospitality Icon & Innovator Awards and the Cornell Reception at ALIS.
