Accenture Becomes Senior Partner of Cornell Center for Hospitality Research

Accenture, the global management consulting firm, has become the newest senior partner of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) at the School of Hotel Administration. Accenture's thought leaders have already made a substantial contribution to the CHR's program with Umar Riaz, Managing Director at Accenture, leading a workshop on customer analytics at the Cornell Hospitality Research Summit (CHRS).

"With their global reach and industry insight, Accenture is a tremendous addition to our advisory board," said CHR associate director Jennifer Macera. "I particularly appreciated their willingness to host and sponsor the CHRS workshop on how to use customer analytics for greater profit. This presentation was a perfect example of the CHRS theme of moving the industry forward based on research."

The workshop, "Drive Profits with Consumer Analytics," was derived from Accenture's latest consumer research.  One key point, based on analysis of social media, was that customers switch from hospitality firms due to a failure to fulfill guest expectations.
