Leading real estate investor Caribbean Property Group (CPG) has joined the Industry Fellows program at the Center for Real Estate and Finance (CREF) at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. The CREF Industry Fellows program is the cornerstone of the center's outreach efforts and helps fund the annual Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition, seminars on current industry topics, student travel to real estate investment conferences, and faculty research.
"We are pleased to welcome CPG to the Industry Fellows program and to have CEO Mark Lipschutz join the CREF advisory board," said Jan deRoos, HVS Professor of Hotel Finance and Real Estate and executive director of CREF. "The support of the Industry Fellows has been critical to the success of CREF, and CPG will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program."
Lipschutz, chief executive officer and founding principal of CPG, will represent the company at meetings of the Industry Fellows. Lipschutz is also of counsel at the New York law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. Previously, Lipschutz was chair of the Real Estate Group and a member of the Executive Committee of the law firm Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman. He received an undergraduate degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
"The growth of our industry requires the constant development of new knowledge for professionals and training for future leaders. CPG is excited to work with the Center for Real Estate and Finance to help address both of these needs," said Lipschutz.
Caribbean Property Group is one of the leading real estate investors, developers, and asset managers in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Central America.
