InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has joined the corporate member program at Cornell School of Hotel Administration and renewed its partnership with the Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). Under the new agreement, IHG will sponsor two of the school's leading outreach events and continue its support of the CHR research agenda.

"IHG has been a valuable CHR partner since 2008," said Joe Strodel, Jr., director of corporate and foundation affairs at the School of Hotel Administration. "We're delighted that they've chosen to expand their relationship with the School of Hotel Administration and join the corporate member program."

IHG will be a diamond sponsor of the Dean's Leadership Series, a senior-level panel discussion held twice per year, and a silver sponsor of the Cornell Icon and Innovator Awards Dinner, an event that honors the recipient of the Cornell Icon of the Industry Award and the recipient of the Cornell Hospitality Innovator Award. IHG will also be enrolled in Cornell University's Tower Club Giving Society.

With the renewed partnership, Kirk Kinsell, president, EMEA, will continue to serve on the CHR advisory board and IHG will participate in roundtables sponsored by the center. IHG employees will also receive a discount on eCornell distance learning courses and special pricing for executive education programs.
